carol and hamid

Established in 2009

Hamid and Carol Pouya have a passion for fine wine.
Together for 4 years, one of our common interest has always been good wine. We decided to take a turn in life and start something that allowed us to follow our passion as well as satisfying our enjoyment of meeting new people. Knowing that we can create an atmosphere of relaxation and fun along with education of great wine is a goal that we have.  To make people happy is an absolute desire and treat!.  We studied wine, took classes, researched and decided that Campbell had all the requirements we were looking for.
Carol continued her wine study at the Culinary Institute in Campbell and became a Certified Sommelier in March 2011  "Tessora" is my black Labrador, whom i adore, and in Italian it means " treasure".  Our gift to all that come in and experience our wine bar is that everyone can find a treasure of their own in our selection of boutique wines.
Our wines are very carefully selected by our wine staff and very competitively priced.
We invite you to come in and share in our life, become our friends and find your special treasure in our wines.

With over 20 wines by the glass that are constantly rotating with choices from around the globe and a retail selection with some of the best pricing around, it is our goal to help you find your treasure within the world of wines. So come and join the South Bay's newest wine experience and find your treasure!

She has made a diligent effort in learning our wines so well that she will be able to "communicate" with you knowledge in what you want to choose in any of our wines. Nikki really cares about our customers and after a short conversation with her you will feel as if you have always been friends.

Tammy PattersonTammy Patterson was born and raised is Willow Glen and attended San Jose State University.  Tammy is our marketing guru!  She works at a local newspaper by day and enjoys learning more about one of her biggest hobbies. "WINE" by night.  You won't find it difficult to talk to Tammy with her easy going personality.  You can catch her in action at Tessora's on Thursday nights.  When she is not sipping wine or visiting one of the local wineries, you can find her at the gym, traveling, snowboarding or attending a music concert.

luke piro Luke Piro is a local musician who plays the drums for South City Blues Band.  He is an incredible musician who has a following of friends that goes on and on.  Luke has come  into his wine knowledge through local winery Savannah*Chennelle where he pours for them on a part time basis.  Believe it or not he also has his own wine label that states "Have Drums Will Travel".  Luke is one of the nicest and most genuine people you would ever want to pour you a glass of wine.  Ladies...just so you all know, Luke is always here pouring on Tuesday Nights!!

Dushan Jefferson definately knows his wine!  With nearly 4 years experience in the wine industry, Dushan is truly passionate about everything "Wine".  His favorite region is our very own California.  He spends much of his free time traveling north to Napa, Sonoma and Los Carneros, or south to visit Paso Robles, Santa Maria and Santa Ynez and of course the local Santa Cruz Mts and Santa Clara Valley wineries.  His knowledge in these wines and regions benefit all who come to Tessora's with questions and are seeking answers.  Dushan enjoys "just talking wine" and looks forward to both educating our customers and learning from them. Aside from his passion for wine, his interests include fine art, music, and mid century modern designs.

Scott armbrustScott Armbrust is the newest member of the Tessora's wine team. After 26 years in residential
construction, as both a journeyman carpenter then moving to Project Manager, Scott switched gears in 2008 and worked behind the bar at Nectar Wine Lounge and Restaurant in Burlingame. There he expanded his wine knowledge to encompass all regions. After having moved to the Santa Cruz Mountains, Scott brings his wine knowledge, people and wine skills to Tessora's.
Always engaging with a joke and smile, Scott wishes to make your experience a fun, educational and memorable one.

Here at Tessora's we are proud of our staff.  They are all very informative about our wines as well as friendly and easy to talk to. Come in and have a little "Wine Chat" with any one of Tessora's wine wonders.
